Welcome to Inigo Wren Building Surveyors where the legacy of the past meets the vision for the future in every project we undertake. We are a team of dedicated professionals specialising in heritage and property services, offering a comprehensive range of solutions for homeowners, investors, and developers. From property appraisals to listed building consent applications, Inigo Wren Associates provides expert advice tailored to the unique needs of each project in the United Kingdom.
Our staff have a huge amount of experience in the building industry most of them started as tradespeople so they have a comprehensive understnding of how the building envelope works, whether its a breathable solid wall or a cavity construction. We understand internal environment of a home and the need to balance internal moisture generation with the building materials so that a comfortable dry home can be acheived.
We are full members of The Institue of Historic Building Conservation, The Institute of Carpenters and Associate Membership of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers. Our Consulants have MSc's in Building Conservation and are qualified defect (damp and moisture in buildings) professionals L3AwardDMCB

About Darron
Darron’s journey in the building industry began in 1986, when he started an indentured apprenticeship as a bench joiner with a local firm. True to the spirit of a traditional journeyman, he went on to work with several companies after qualifying, honing his craft and gaining invaluable experience before establishing his own building company.
Much of Darron’s work focused on listed buildings, where he developed a deep appreciation for historic construction methods, traditional materials, and the delicate balance between a building’s fabric, its internal environment, and how the two interact.
His passion for heritage conservation led him to join an architectural practice as a historic building surveyor, where he contributed to a number of prestigious projects — including Scheduled Monuments, Listed Buildings, and nationally significant churches.
Darron later became the Head of Building Conservation, Collections, and Site Operations at the Weald and Downland Living Museum. However, the pull of the commercial world inspired him to establish Inigo Wren Associates, bringing together his decades of hands-on experience and specialist conservation knowledge.
Darron holds an MSc in Building Conservation from the University of York. He is an Associate Member of the Association of Building Engineers and a full member of both the Institute of Carpenters and the Institute of Historic Building Conservation.
He lives in Sussex with his family, their dog, horse, and several chickens.
